Cecco Mariniello (Siena, 1950) lives and works in Florence. He attended Architecture Studies and free-drawing and engraving courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. After the mid-1970s, he began an intense activity in the field of comics and illustration.
Book/newspaper illustration is his main activity (daily and periodical press as Le Monde, La Stampa, La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera), illustrating many book for children too.
His style contains typical elements of '900 figurative art, such as Metaphysics, Surrealism and "Magic Realism". His artworks (mainly oil on canvas) have been exhibited in many art gallery in Italy and in France.
